Current Projects

Pamela's current projects include the Paws Series of animal drawings, writing a series of children's books, and editing The Epic of Cougran novels.

The Paws Series are a collection of animal portraits that have the animals' paws in the foreground. The paws portraits are both cats and dogs.

Her children's books are very short, illustrated stories perfect for the beginning reader. Her first book, called Meet Herbert allows the child to play a game to find out what kind of animal Herbert is.

And finally, Pam is Chief Editor of The Epic of Cougran novels, written by her husband, Eric. She is very good at forcing Eric to explain situations so that others can understand the visual image Eric is trying to paint with his words.

Historical Work

Pam started her love of the portrait in the late 1970's, when she began sketching her highschool classmates from wallet photos. Over the last three decades, her craft has grown from black and white to color drawings, which include collaborative portraits of people and their hobbies, portraits of individuals and their interests, animal portraits, and now, digital art.

Current Projects

Eric is currently engulfed in the world of The Epic of Cougran. He is writing the novels, creating digital art, creating paintings, building a website dedicated to the world, and learning how to make a video game out of the idea.

Historical Projects

Eric began his journey with drawing in elementary school, copying photographs of animals in between assignments in English class. As time went on, he was drawn toward the female portrait. He grew toward painting as a way to realize his need to represent a visual world.

Eric was educated in the school of fine arts at the University of Michigan-Flint. While he did not complete his degree, the classes that he did take have fueled him forward. He was introduced to many different media to express himself with, and has settled for acyrlic paint to concentrate in. He has painted a wide variety of subject matter, including mythology, celebrities, animals, still lives, and movie characters.

Toward the end of 2005, he was drawn toward a unique idea, which developed into The Epic of Cougran. This unique idea is the basis of all his art from 2005 forward, which has been little outside of maps and the fictional solar system. He hopes, after the third novel is published to focus on all the imagery created from the pen and ink that he continues to write to this day...
