Fautrier, Jean: Jean Fautrier(1898-1964) was a painter and sculptor who lived in France. His early work, influenced by his education at the Royal Academy of Art, was composed of still life, nudes, and landscapes. His latter years was spent making abstract art.

Wikipedia Fauvism: Fauvism is derived from a French word meaning 'wild beasts'. The early 20th Century art movement, which was lead by Henry Matisse, emphasized the use of color as a formal element and the primary communication of meaning. The Fauvists borrowed techniques from the Post-Impressionists' use of direct complements to intensify colors, such as Orange and Blue and Vermillion and Emerald Green.
