-Gardner's Art Through the AgesDali, Salvadore: Salvadore Dali was part of an Art Movement in the 1920's and 1930's called Surrealism, which grew out of the psychological writings of Sigmund Freud. These paintings were representations of journeys taken into the subconscious through hallucinogenic drugs. In the 1940's, Salvadore moved on to classical and religious themes in his paintings, living until 1989.
